Well, it could be birdwitted columns like this one by Kathleen Parker, but that’s too obvious. It’s not the crummy job the MSM is doing; it must be their critics!

Well, if Rush had a tithe of the malevolent abilities attributed to him by the DNC and Newsweek, he would have been Imperial Grand Poobah For Life ages ago.
Perhaps Kathleen and the MSM crowd should buy a clue from the Swan of Avon:
“The fault, dear Brutus, lies not in our stars, but in ourselves….”
A smidgen of self examination might actually improve the product. Still, Jayson Blair, Rathergate, the deification of Obama, etc., isn’t not the only problem faced by the papers. Other than being saddled with an archaic production and distribution system and a crummy product that isn’t quite up to Parker’s fantasies of Watergate, they might want to stop to consider how to recapture some of the classified ad revenue from Craig’s List and Ebay.
But that would involve some understanding of the money grubbing world of commerce and those icky customers....
