The Institute of Advanced Gullibility Studies

Has taken in MSNBC, the New Republic, the LA Times, and others.

Guess that the whole ‘Palin didn’t know that Africa was a continent, not a country’ thing was too good to fact check.

MSNBC is still standing by that bit, and only admitting to being duped about the source. However, without naming the real source, their tale looks even more dodgy than it did before.

And it was plenty dodgy before.

But I have to hand it to the hoaxters - the entire thing was very well executed. I can easily see how people could be taken in by something this well done.
