Bailout Fallout

For the auto and financial industries looks set to include wage controls on management.

But why stop there? Public universities are certainly an underperforming industry that consumes incredible amounts of taxpayer subsidies, yet their key executives are enriching themselves at the taxpayer trough. Maybe we should cap their earnings as well, and mess with their product lines in addition.

Just think about how much money could be saved by eliminating all of the bogus “(insert preferred victim group here) Studies” departments.

After all, is some committee of bureaucrats has the wisdom to decide on what cars should be produced in what quantity, they would also have the wisdom to run America’s universities, right?
