Oh Danny Boy, We Knew Too Much of Ye

Ohio’s days of Dannation are coming to a close with the resignation of Marc “Pajama Party” Dann. Unfortunately, the WSJ Legal Blog hints that there may be a deal to stop the investigation of Dann’s hiijinks in return for the resignation. Guess we’ll have to wait and see if that pans out or not, but I’m somewhat skeptical. The Inspector General seized computers, the Highway Patrol is searching bags, and the FBI is warming up in the bullpen (on Dann’s “dealings with gambling interests”).

Guess that Strickland did put that horse’s head in Marc’s bed. The final act of Dannage control is simply to put cement overshoes on this bum’s legal career.

Strickland’s job in finding a replacement can be fairly easy – he just needs to find a competent lawyer who can a) manage an office on a more professional level than, say, a Playboy Club, b) not hire a series of corrupt or incompetent or both aides, and b) keep his own zipper up. Ability to win a special election a plus, but the Ohio Republican Party doesn’t look to present a very high bar to clear there.

Congratulations to Gov. Strickland and the Ohio Democratic party for giving this bum the boot.

Here’s the video of the weasel resigning. It takes a lot of gall to drag your kids into this cesspool, but, no surprise, Dann manages it. Funny, even Eliott Spitzer’s wife showed up for his confessional.
