The Morning After Tuesday II:

The campaign of the living dead continues. On the Republican side, McCain clinches. It seems like just yesterday his campaign had a status of ‘organ donor’, but, as in this case, just a tad too soon.

For the Democrats, Obama can’t kill off Hillary. Like ‘Jason’ in the Friday the 13th movies, she keeps coming back.

George Romero, call your office

If nothing else, it will be good for advertising sales in Pennsylvania media outlets for the next six weeks.

From a conservative point of view, it’s a nice “let’s you and him fight” scenario – the progressives get to spend another couple of months spending money attacking each other. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that this makes me more optimistic about November, but it’s still a nice thought.

It’s certainly a positive for the country that Obama now has to campaign as a human being, rather than as the Lord’s Anointed (though I’m sure that it’s more fun to campaign as the anointed one). At some point, he’ll have to face a hostile press, and do a better job of it than he did the other day. And if he can’t manage to get along with Canada, what’s he going to do with the real bad guys in North Korea, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Sudan, Zimbabwe, and the Gaza Strip? Or for that matter, Russia and China?

As Mrs. Boring voiced her Obama v Clinton position this morning, “The country’s going to hell with either one of these two, we might as well do it with a fresh face”.
