Interesting Company, Google

More than willing to indulge in empty environmental gestures. More than willing to lobby the government to impoverish us all. More than willing to censor Chinese dissidents to make a buck.

Interesting how misanthropic all of this is. They hate us, will sell us out to dictators the moment it becomes convenient to do so, but in the meantime, they love our money.

It appears that Google’s new slogan is Ferengi Rule of Acquisition # 189:

“Let others keep their reputation. You keep their money.”

Not quite as catchy as “Don’t be evil”, and possibly not for putting on PR pieces outside of the annual report, but it seems to have the added advantage of being true.
