“Party Elders Triumph in Cuba”

Is today’s unsurprising headline, as the Castro monarchy continues. It’s easy to win elections when you’re the only candidate on the ballot. And when Fidel urges ‘unanimity’, the average assembly member complies, lest they find themselves subjected to a large dose of the Secret Police’s hospitality.

It’s still worth noting that although Fidel has resigned the Presidency, he remains the head of the Communist Party, and that's the only thing that matters in Cuba.
