Pho notes that the Summit County Soccer Stadium deal isn’t quite dead. It's back, to suck the life out of your wallet.

Time to go buy extra garlic, and a bunch of wooden stakes in various styles and sizes.

I haven’t reviewed the new proposal, but a reasonable guess is that $100 mill for a soccer stadium is still a bad idea. Unless you are the Wolsteins. Or another direct beneficiary. The actual economics of “sports stadiums and / or gambling will lead us to economic nirvana” hasn’t changed that much. The pitches to enrich the few at the expense of the taxpayers on the other hand….

But hey, it’s only smokers and drinkers, right? Don’t they deserve whatever flogging they get?

Sounds pretty regressive to me.
