Recess Appointments

It’s nice to see the President poke the Senate in the eye over some recess appointments.

I don’t think that Andrew Biggs is going to matter very much – the Democrats are committed to riding the Social Security bus to bankruptcy, or, better still, higher taxes.

Susan Dudley shows some promise – at least she’ll be in a position to actually do something to slow down the flow of regulations choking off economic growth.

And I especially like the notion of appointing a contributor to the Swift Boat Veterans as an ambassador. The fact that Kerry has never released his military records keeps the suspicion that he was less than forthcoming about his service plausible.
