Summit Disappoints Mugabe Critics

Apparently, African leaders can’t even muster an effort at the completely toothless soft diplomacy suggested by Tutu and Albright.

Lifting sanctions so that the West can provide foreign aid that the Mugabe regime will transfer to overseas bank accounts won’t do much for the 1,700 % inflation or 80% unemployment. Both those factors will remain as long as Zimbabwe continues to embrace the path of socialist destruction.

Update (03 April 07): What does a general strike in a country with 80% unemployment look like? How would you tell the difference?
