The Strickland Plan

As noted by the Beacon Journal, from Tuesday’s debate:

“Strickland talked of job creation through investment in the production of alternative energy sources in Ohio, deployment of broadband technology in each of Ohio's 88 counties, making college affordable and providing health care to all Ohioans. He said he would pay for his plans with existing state money, by
using federal money currently going unspent by the state, by streamlining government and by `living within our means.'”
Most of this is a wish list, not a plan. The plan parts are typical, top-down, government knows best plan.

Mr. Strickland apparently thinks that he can grow the economy through pork barrel spending. In reality, these always funnel tax money from the public to a group of well connected schemers and lobbyists.
